PT series

When you’re handling sewer bypass, flood control, or dewatering, downtime is not an option. You need a pump that starts immediately, performs consistently, and helps you avoid costly delays.

BA Series pumps from BBA Pumps are engineered for real‑world jobsite conditions. These dry self‑priming centrifugal pumps combine a vacuum‑assisted system with a robust design and proven technology.
The result: fast priming, simple maintenance, and reliable performance when it matters most.

How BA Series Dry Self‑Priming Pumps Work

BA Series centrifugal pumps are equipped with an integrated diaphragm vacuum system. This means the pump does not need to be pre‑filled with water before start‑up.

Once the engine starts:
  • The diaphragm vacuum pump begins priming immediately.
  • A non‑return valve closes the discharge side.
  • Vacuum builds on the suction side.
  • Liquid is quickly drawn into the pump casing.
  • Pumping starts automatically once the casing is filled.
As the float tank fills, the float shuts off the diaphragm pump supply. This ensures controlled and efficient operation under varying site conditions.

Designed for Fast Priming Performance

In bypass or emergency situations, every minute counts. The BA Series is built for effective and consistent priming, even with long suction lines.

Two diaphragm vacuum pump options are available:
  • MP50 – maximum air capacity of 29 CFM.
  • MP100 – maximum air capacity of 59 CFM.
With a maximum vacuum range of 27 feet, the system delivers dependable suction performance across demanding applications.

To prevent seal damage during dry suction conditions, the centrifugal pump includes a special oil chamber inside the bearing frame. This design cools the mechanical seal during start‑up. The pump is engineered for safe dry start conditions, reducing the risk of premature wear.

Built for Simple and Efficient Maintenance

Maintenance should be predictable and straightforward. BA Series pumps are designed to make service access easy and practical in the field.

Key features include:
  • Diaphragm vacuum system with no oil leakage concerns.
  • Accessible inspection points for faster servicing.
  • Mechanical seal cooling through an integrated oil chamber.
  • Belt‑driven diaphragm pump with minimal energy consumption.
  • Solids handling capability for municipal and industrial use.
A diaphragm pump is inherently reliable. If water passes the float seal, the system continues to operate without failure. This makes the solution cost‑effective over time and helps reduce unexpected downtime.

Flexible Drive Configurations

BA Series pumps are available in multiple configurations to match your project requirements:
  • Diesel engines compliant with Tier 4 Final emissions standards.
  • Electric motor driven units.
  • Sound Attenuated Canopy for noise‑sensitive environments.
  • Open Frame configuration for industrial applications.
For fully electric solutions, explore the Electric Driven Pumps range.
For extreme high‑head requirements, consider the PT Series.

PT series

PT series wellpoint dewatering pumps are used to lower groundwater levels during construction work. The PT is a positive displacement pump and the best choice to ensure a dry pit during site dewatering. These pumps are typically diesel driven and feature a sound attenuated canopy. The pump can also be supplied with an electric drive or in an open frame configuration.

PT Series Pumps

PT series wellpoint dewatering pumps are used to lower groundwater levels during construction work. The PT is a positive displacement pump and by far the best choice to guarantee a dry pit during site dewatering. These pumps are typically diesel driven and feature a sound attenuated canopy. The pump can also be supplied with an electric drive or in an open frame configuration.

How does a wellpoint dewatering pump work

PT wellpoint pumps are positive displacement pumps and fully self priming. They can handle any mix of water and air without requiring a separate priming system. Once the pump is connected to a wellpoint dewatering system, simply start the engine and the system begins operating. The pump creates a vacuum through the header pipe and starts lowering the groundwater level, ensuring a stable and dry construction pit.
