Established in 1953

BBA Pumps was founded in 1953, when Mr. Bruin started in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, manufacturing piping systems for water transport. What began as a local production company quickly evolved.
The next step was taken in the mid-1970s. At that time, BBA started supplying pumps. Since then, our company has developed internationally into a leading manufacturer of mobile pump systems.
Today, we continue to build on more than 70 years of engineering expertise and hands-on field experience.

Family business Bruin Buizen Apeldoorn

Since its foundation, several generations of the Bruin family have succeeded each other. They share an entrepreneurial spirit, an interest in technology and the urge to innovate. The original company name is Bruin Buizen Apeldoorn:

We have grown together with our customers

The growth of BBA Pumps has always been closely tied to its customers. In the early decades, the primary focus was on Dutch wellpoint dewatering contractors. Their field experience and feedback played a key role in refining and improving the pump systems.

By the 1990s, BBA Pumps’ efficient and super-quiet mobile pumps began gaining international attention. Since then, the company has expanded globally, working alongside major contractors and infrastructure partners.

Today, BBA Pumps operates on a global scale, supporting large infrastructure projects and trusted partners across North America and around the world.
