Quick coupling applications
BBA Pumps quick couplings are used for water transportation piping systems and for mobile pumps up to 1 foot. Quick couplings allow pipes and pump hoses to be connected in just a few seconds, making a complete and watertight pipe system. Typical applications include well pointing, flood control, construction and civil engineering.
How a quick coupling works
A quick coupling always consists of two parts: a male and a female part. They’re easy to recognise since the male part always goes into the female part. Depending on the type of quick coupling, for example bauer or cardan/perrot, one part has clamps and the other part has an edge behind which the clamps hook. There is always a rubber O-ring between the two couplings ensuring a watertight seal.
